On Wednesday, March 20, at 7 pm, I’m excited to launch the third running of an adult writing course I’ve developed in conjunction with Story Studio Australia (the artist formerly known as My Writers Studio).

It’s a fun four-week long journey into kickstarting your writing career, or just progressing an individual project. In the previous runnings, I’ve worked with authors who are quite advanced in their thinking and their writing but have hit a wall, or I’ve had creatives purely sniffing the wind of whether they even want to be a writer and if so, what kind?

As such, I tailor the course to who’s in the room. I go through everything from different formats you can write for, to specific tips, tricks and essentials for developing characters, plots, scenes, etc. I even include a section requiring an ‘explicit content‘ warning – which is where I go under the hood of the financials and practicalities of being a writer and trying to get published. Not pretty.

If you’re stuck staring at a blank first page, or have waded deeper into a piece of creative writing but then become stuck, it’s a great chance for one-on-one and group work. So sign up before Wednesday, if you’re up for an adventure. The course happens at Story Studio’s Carlton HQ.
